FAQs

Briggs & Stratton Generator Questions

What are the differences between Briggs & Stratton and Generac generators?

Both build automatic home standby generators that run on natural gas or propane. On new Generac air-cooled installations, Midwest adds the 12-Year Power Plus Warranty; a Briggs & Stratton carries its own manufacturer warranty. Generac is the brand we lead with, and our Master Electricians recommend the right fit at your free estimate.

What sizes do Briggs & Stratton home generators come in?

The PowerProtect line comes in 13, 18, 22 and 26kW. We size yours from what you need running, at a free estimate.

What does Symphony power management do?

It manages your home’s high-wattage appliances, such as an air conditioner or electric range, so they take turns on the generator instead of overloading it.

Does Midwest service Briggs & Stratton generators it did not install?

Yes. If someone else installed your unit, we still take the call: we service Briggs & Stratton along with Generac, Kohler, Winco and Cummins.
